For Freedom Fundraising is a story of transformation, resilience, and purpose. Founded in 2021 by Tomy and Dara Parker, our mission is to empower nonprofits to create lasting impact in their communities, from veteran support and conservation to disability services and addiction recovery.

Tomy, a Marine Corps veteran raised in Ronan, Montana, served with the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment. His life changed in December 2010 when he stepped on an IED during deployment to Afghanistan, resulting in the loss of both legs and most of the fingers on his left hand. After 18 months of rehabilitation and a medical retirement, Tomy returned home and faced a difficult battle with addiction and incarceration.

Reconnecting with Dara marked a turning point. Together, they rebuilt a life grounded in purpose, service, and resilience. With support from organizations like Warrior Rising, they transformed their experiences into a mission-driven business dedicated to helping others succeed.

Today, Tomy brings a rare combination of authenticity, humor, and heart to every stage he steps on. As an auctioneer and speaker, he has a natural ability to connect with audiences, blending storytelling, quick wit, and genuine emotion to create an engaging and uplifting atmosphere. His lived experience allows him to relate deeply to the missions he serves, inspiring generosity while making people feel comfortable, energized, and part of something meaningful. Whether he’s sharing his story or driving momentum during an auction, Tomy creates moments that people remember long after the event ends.

Dara’s background in nonprofit leadership, accounting, and small business development became the foundation of their work. She brings strategic clarity, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of sustainable growth to every organization she serves. Today, Dara is also an Elizabeth Dole Fellow, advocating for military and veteran caregivers and working to ensure they have access to the resources, recognition, and support they deserve. She is actively building connections across Montana and nationwide, helping bridge the gap between caregivers, Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs), and nonprofits to strengthen support systems for those navigating caregiving.

​Together, Dara and Tomy combine strategy and storytelling to create powerful fundraising experiences. Since launching For Freedom Fundraising, they have helped raise millions of dollars for nonprofits nationwide, amplifying missions and strengthening communities across the country.
